Registration
General information:
Centric Relation
The patented Woelfel Sliding Guide System is one of the best tools
available for determining centric relationship in a reproducible
way. The system allows for the natural, uninfluenced guiding of
the condyles into their rotation center. A gauged anterior jig de-programs
the mandible while maintaining the selected vertical dimension,
and the resulting registration is set in silicone material on a
"leaf wafer." The wafer is used to align the mandible
to the maxilla in centric relation in a centric articulator.

Used
within the dental office, when direct transfer of the registration
is preferred because pre-mounted casts are sent to the lab, or because
the lab is in-house. The 3-D universal joint is attached to the
jig, and the jig to the articulator. Bitefork support is also required.
Direct Facebow adaptation
The registration can be transferred directly from the facebow
to the articulator. The facebow is placed correctly and supported
by the telescopic legs and level, and the bitefork support.
The level is also sold separately.
