Don Cornell
Mr. Cornell graduated from his Dental Technology Program in 1981. He worked in a small quality laboratory until opening his own lab in 1985. In 1988 Mr. Cornell began lecturing and teaching advanced ceramic techniques to dentists and technicians in the United States. In 1989 he moved to Milwaukee, Wisconsin, to work with Dr. Robert Winter, where he stayed until 1993.
Mr. Cornell now operates his laboratory in Madison, Connecticut. He is a member of the American Academy of Aesthetic Dentistry and has been extensively published in both dental and technical journals. To date, he has lectured and taught advanced ceramic techniques in more than thirty countries around the world.
Dr. Robert Winter
Dr. Winter graduated from Marquette University School of Dentistry, and in 1983 completed his Prosthodontic Specialty Residency in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. He maintains a private practice limited to Prosthodontics in Newport Beach, California, is a member of the graduate prosthodontics faculty at the University of Washington and the University of Southern California, and is on faculty at Case Western Reserve University School of Dental Medicine. Dr. Winter is the founder of the Oral-Facial Design Center, an educational facility in Newport Beach, California, where he teaches a series of both clinical and technical educational courses, and is co-owner of Esthetics By Design, a quality oriented dental laboratory.
Having taught over 450 didactic, clinical, and technical courses in over 35 countries, Dr. Winter is recognized around the world for his skills as both a clinician and ceramist. This unique blending of disciplines and talent as a teacher continues to keep him in high demand as a speaker. In addition, has published numerous articles, and sits on the advisory boards for the Journal of Esthetic and Restorative Dentistry, The International Journal of Periodontics & Restorative Dentistry, Advanced Esthetics and Interdisciplinary Dentistry, Team Work, and Spectrum Dialogue. He is actively involved in research and product development pertaining to new dental materials, and was a co-developer of d.SIGN dental ceramic which is distributed world wide. In 1991, he was the second recipient of the Gordon Christensen Lecturer Recognition Award for Excellence in Restorative Education, and in 2005, Dr. Winter was named Marquette University School of Dentistry Distinguished Alumni of the Year.
Dr. Winter is a member of the American Academy of Restorative Dentistry, the American Academy of Esthetic Dentistry, the American College of Prosthodontists, the American Dental Association, the California Dental Association, the Pierre Fauchard Academy, and the Northwest Network for Dental Excellence.
Michel Magne, MDT, Oral Design
Michel Magne is born in la Chaux-de-Fonds (Switzerland ) in 1958. He grew up and followed his primary education in Neuchâtel, where he certified as Dental Technician (CDT) in 1979. He developed his technical education in fixed prosthodontics (ceramics) and esthetics until 1984. Between 1985 and 1991, he was consecutively directing two dental laboratories as Master Ceramist and he specialized in implant-supported work and complex oral rehabilitation. From 1992 to 2004, he has been the owner and director of Oral Design Center, Dental Laboratory in Montreux (Switzerland). Since January 2005, he became Associate Professor of Clinical Dentistry and Director of the Center of Dental Technology at the University of Southern California (USC, Los Angeles). He is in charge of a number of esthetic courses and postgraduate education. He is author and co-author of articles on esthetic dentistry and is frequently invited to lecture on these topics.
Olivier Tric, MDT
Olivier Tric began his studies in France at the College of Leonardo De Vinci and the University of Pharo while concurrently pursuing an apprenticeship in Dental Technology. After a 5 year apprenticeship, he launched a 15+ year career devoted to a thorough understanding of the principles of Dental Aesthetics and the mastery of specialized techniques in Dental Laboratory Technology. His specialties include all facets of porcelain restorations on both natural teeth and osseointegrated implants. He is recognized by his peers as a pioneer in the industry by developing new and unique methodologies that are taught worldwide.
He is widely published on the topic of ceramic layering techniques and aesthetic dentistry in industry journals such as Dental Dialogue, Practical Procedures & Aesthetic Dentistry and Quintessence Dental Technology. He also serves on the Editorial Board for Spectrum Dialogue, and Teamwork Magazine. His professional affiliations include Design Technique International (DTI), Oral Design International Foundation, and others. Mr. Tric is a highly respected lecturer and educator, teaching hands-on courses to dentists and technicians throughout the United States, Canada and Europe. He is regularly consulted by leading Dental Manufacturers and Laboratories for input on new product development. He currently operates Olivier Tric Dental Laboratory and Educational Center in the Chicago suburb of Elmhurst, Illinois.
terry mcQuiston, cdt
Terry McQuiston, CDT is the Authentic® and Pulse™ Technical Manager at Jensen Premium Dental Products. For many years Terry operated an exclusive dental studio in Georgia that focused on the science and art of fixed prosthetics with a strong emphasis on advanced esthetics. He received his technical training at Lindsey-Hopkins in Miami, Florida after first having studied chemistry at the University of the South in Tennessee, and Guilford College in North Carolina after serving in the U. S. Army.
His past experiences as a private technician and his associations with leading prosthodontists have formed the foundation of his restorative philosophy. Additional formal training at the Tanaka Institute, as well as his continued dialogue and advanced ceramic application training with such internationally acclaimed instructors as Don Cornell, Dr. Robert Winter, Willi Geller, Ernst Hegenbarth, Oliver Brix, and more, provide him with the unique ability to relate to multiple dental disciplines and instruct for every level of experience.
Terry maintains an active role in dental education through his lectures, presentations, and associations with many of the world's most recognized leaders in both technical and clinical dentistry. His participation in state, regional, national and international dental technology associations, publications, and forums are processed into his everyday communications and provide the backboard for his lectures and courses. Currently, he sits on the advisory board for Dental Dialogue and Dental Dialogue International magazines. He has consulted for a variety of international manufacturing concerns on a wide variety of technically related issues.
